Illustrated gifts from the Isle of Lewis
Gentle watercolour cards from the shores and crofts of the Outer Hebrides, starring a gang of island characters doing the things they love: wild swimming, golf, knitting, the allotment and the odd ceilidh.
Each one is a card for someone in particular. The friend who swims in the sea all year round. The dad who lives on the golf course. The gran who is never without her knitting.
Twelve cards, twelve small island moments.
They all live round the little croft, and they all have their hobbies.
Where the moor meets the sea
On the Isle of Lewis, crofts sit where the moor meets the shore: a whitewashed house, a peat fire, the kettle always on, and the Atlantic just over the wall.
The Lewis Croft Co. grew out of a love for that island life, its weather, its wildlife and its quiet sense of humour. The cards are a little celebration of it, and of the people in our lives who are happiest out swimming, walking, growing or making things.
Made to be kept, not just sent
About the artwork: each design starts with my own idea and characters. I create the illustrations using AI image tools, then edit, check and finish every one myself.
